Laure Gontier has been practicing law since 1987, first as an associate with Vinson & Elkins in London and then with White & Case in New York. She joined Bernard-Hertz-Béjot and became a partner in 2016.
She has extensive experience in matters relating to labor law for which she advises French and foreign clients in France and represents them in courts (employment agreements, relations with the workers representation, enforcement of disciplinary rules).
Laure Gontier also assists clients on a regular basis regarding all the issues raised by their installation in France and the implementation and development of their business, including on the internet, in a variety of sectors; luxury goods, food products, information technology, industrial equipment, solar energy, advertising, communication and marketing agencies.
Her practice includes general commercial law, leasehold rights, distribution and antitrust (exclusive and selective distribution, agency, terms and conditions of sale, unfair competition, sales promotions, unfair practices, wrongful termination of commercial relations…), as well as information technology and new technologies, including personal data protection, intellectual and industrial property (copyright, trademarks, models, patents), in both contentious and non contentious matters.
Finally, she teams up with other members of the firm in connection with merger and acquisition projects.
